Kudosnz Communications Ltd (withKudos®) began as the result of encouragement from friends, family, and clients. To me that is the essence of a successful business.
The underlying philosophy of Kudos – praise given and honour received for an achievement – has always appealed to me. I relish working with like minded people who have a strong social conscience and a shared belief we’re all in this together, who work tirelessly to do what needs to be done without compromising quality or ethics. Clients and associates are selected based on shared values: a determination to service ethically, provide excellent quality, have long term business sustainability; and whose attitude towards staff and the environment are equally without question.
I love spending time thinking, visualising, conceptualising; finding aesthetically creative and innovative visual communication solutions. With a strong analytical, enquiring mind I am skilled at interpreting briefs and delivering creative solutions beyond expectations. My approach: listen and understand, respond creatively, honestly and punctually; deliver on my word. I have a natural flair for solving problems, mutually beneficial outcomes, connecting with people, and leadership.
Industry knowledge and expertise
I have over three decades of visual communications industry expertise, including award-winning typography, graphic design, writing / editing / proof reading, production / project management (including RFP), designing learning and development collateral for Senior Management, developing and implementing staff training, and providing visual communication solutions to a broad range of organisations.
Mac and PC literate, I am highly skilled across graphic design and typography programmes. I have comprehensive print skills and experience, including pre-press, digital and offset printing, as well as designing and producing interactive forms and e-publications.
Detail, big picture
My passion for typography, quality communications and strong working relationships is alive today as much as it was, more than 30 years ago, when I discovered my first love: typography. As a typographer, it’s all about the detail! To me, the big picture is incomplete, and/or inaccurate without all detail; a mere focus on some rather than all detail misrepresents the integrity of the complete picture. I am a big picture thinking, detailed demon; by nature, by design, by choice.

Microsoft Word Templates! Including – live – Excel data update facility. I’m known as a ‘go to’ technical specialist with Microsoft and I take great delight and pride bridging the ‘Design to Microsoft’ gap. All templates are expertly crafted with a high degree of design and technical capability. By locking the templates they are simple to use, preserve brand identity, and preserve the integrity of the template. By arrangement, I also provide Microsoft skills training, personalised to specific individual or group requirements.
