I love the concept praise given and honour received for an achievement - Kudos - and named the company based on that concept. The underlying philosophy and principle our businesses will benefit and excel through partnering each other appeals to my social and ethical conscience.

Kudosnz Communications Ltd began as the result of encouragement from friends, family, and clients; to me that is the essence of a successful business.  I enjoy working with like minded people who have a strong social conscience and a shared belief we’re all in this together, who work tirelessly to do what needs to be done without compromising quality or ethics.

My passion for typography, quality communications and strong working relationships is alive today as much as it was, more than 30 years ago, when I discovered my first love: typography.

Industry knowledge and expertise

I have over three decades of relevant industry related experience and expertise; ranging from designing, writing and implementing staff training, award-winning typography, production management, designing learning and development collateral for a major bank’s Senior Management tier, and providing printing solutions to a broad range of private and public organisations.

I am highly skilled across graphic design and typography programmes on both Mac and PC platforms. As a technical specialist with Microsoft Word and Power Point, I take great delight and pride replicating Microsoft templates, without compromise to corporate identity.

I have comprehensive print skills and experience, including pre-press, digital and offset printing, as well as producing interactive forms and e-publications.

Detail, big picture

As a typographer, it’s all about the detail!

To me, the big picture is incomplete, and/or inaccurate without all detail; a mere focus on some rather than all detail misrepresents the integrity of the complete picture.
I am a big picture thinking, detailed demon; by nature, by design, by choice.

I love spending time thinking, visualising, conceptualising; finding aesthetically creative and innovative visual communication solutions.  With a strong analytical, enquiring mind I am skilled at interpreting briefs and delivering creative solutions beyond expectations. My approach: listen and understand, respond creatively, honestly and punctually; deliver on my word.

I have a natural flair for solving problems, outcomes, connecting with people, and leadership.

Strategic Partnerships

Working primarily out of Wellington, design capability is also carried out in Auckland, with further design backup with a well established and highly regarded Design Company.

Digital, Offset and Large Format printing is selected based on "with kudos" shared values and principles, and where possible preference is given to New Zealand owned and operated businesses.
